SEF Grant Criteria/Instructions

SEF grants are based on the following criteria:

Eligibility:
1. The applicant is a South Sudanese refugee student with permanent resident status in the Greater Boston area and Worcester.
2. The applicant is enrolled in a bona fide educational institution/program.
Grants restricted to the financial support for tuition, book expense, college fees, and supplies.

Application Instructions:

· July 1- Fall Semester

·April 15 - Summer Semester

Grant funds paid out upon committee approval:
1. For reimbursement of educational expenses paid by the student, include original copies of receipts with a description of the expense with your application.
2. For tuition and other educational expense, SEF will make payment arrangements directly with the college or other educational institution/program.

Please note: Grants will not be awarded for educational expenses that have not been approved during the semester for which they have been incurred.
